An Open Letter to the Reluctant Tourist

Greetings!

You're friendly neighborhood musician here. Easter has come and gone, and that means two things:
  • The Heritage Classic Golf Tournament is upon us
  • Hilton Head will be swamped for the next week, then experience an after-party hangover
For those that don't normally come down during the months of April and May, allow for my gentle plea to reconsider. April and May are perfect months to visit Hilton Head because of the mild weather and an abundance of parking spaces not seen during the peak summer months (late May-mid September). Granted, during the beginning of April families are on spring break and the Heritage Tournament really crank up the tourist ticker, but for roughly six weeks aft there are none to be seen. I'm sure it's difficult to get the kids out of school and all that jazz, but if you can find the time, it's well worth it. Oh, and you'll be sure to get a private concert on the triangular stage at the Harbourside Cafe from yours truly! Consider it. You will be rewarded. Thanks for your time.

Be Well,
Jordan Ross

Revamping Anywhere USA

I've been slowly honing my recording techniques as of late, and I feel it's time for an upgrade to Anywhere USA. So, I took what I had recorded previously, scrapped it, and started from the beginning. So far, I've recorded "Anywhere USA","Alison","City of Lights" and am almost finished with "Nobody Knows". For those of you that have the album, rest assured that the songs will sound similar, just a more accurate representation of what was in my head when I wrote the song originally.

I'd love for all to have a listen. If you want the mp3's of what I've been doing, just let me know. Simply post a comment, and I'll send you the files.

Of course, you'll have to have installed an awesome cross-platform app called DropBox (www.dropbox.com). It's the greatest, and its the only way to share files easily. I'll send you an invitation to my JordanRossImport Dropbox, and we'll let the file swapping commence!

A Welcome and List of Bulleted Activities for your Consideration

Welcome to the Music from the Triangular Stage blog!

Man, I'm excited for this coming season, which starts April 5 @ Harbourside in Harbourtown. From this blog, I'll be talking about the interesting, funny, off-topic, and genuine things that I see and hear from the Triangular stage. If you want to be a part of this blog, just do some of these bulleted actions:
  • Sing along to a song/s to which you don't know the words
  • Get others to join you in the above action
  • Clap out of time enthusiastically
  • Dance feverishly to a slow song
  • Listen intently, then buy my entire album collection
  • Be yourself, and request to be blogged about
Simple, I know. I'm up to trying new things to get people involved in the mayhem that can envelope Harbourside. Above all I urge you to find a comfy seat, have a listen, and enjoy your summer. There's really nowhere else I'd rather be. I want you to feel the same.
